Our crew encountered a thriving ecosystem with sharks gliding around the Everes
When our crew went to Cocos Island Marine Conservation Area a few months ago to test shoot IMAX footage from the Deep See mini sub, what they encountered was a thriving ecosystem, with tons of sharks gliding around the Everest Seamount like they had for millenia. Whale sharks like this one caught by Shmulik Blum get up to 41 feet (12.65m), have no teeth and eat microscopic plankton, but our crew dove with plenty of teethy types too. Check out the full story on The Deep Reefs of Cocos Island.
