In a single and singular frozen moment, we see things that would otherwise go unnoticed, like this lone blade of seagrass…
I love a well-crafted motion picture. I love stills too, though. They’re no less capable of evoking a visceral response. They’re static, but magnetic too. There’s power in their simplicity; by simply being there for you to see, great photos force you to think about what they represent. In a single and singular moment, frozen on film (er, memory card) we see things that would otherwise go unnoticed, like this lone blade of sea grass, making a final stand as a tiny wave that has traveled thousands of miles expires on the sand.
